For any Lupe fan who remembers Food & Liquor, it’s impossible to forget how incredible that album was. His introduction to the world of his insatiable word play, dissection of important issues and ode to the real is what makes him such an outstanding musical artist. That first inhale of Lupe air is blowing it’s sweet wind again in his new video for “It Just Might Be OK.” This beautiful piece of lyrical truth is still quite relevant to today’s issues. The video is a tribute to his hometown of Chicago in which it highlights the culture that is Chi-Town. It also brings light to the issues of racism and injustice that is unfortunately still plaguing our country today.
“Revolution is hope for the hopeless.”
